2009 Winner
FAB.REcology by Neri Oxman
FAB.REcology: Organic forms that adjust to their environment.
FAB.REcology looks to nature for practical design answers. It integrates the principles of biomimicry with manmade objects – envision a building that can breath and sweat and think and grow and change. Our 2009 winner Neri Oxman is the founder of MATERIALECOLOGY, an interdisciplinary design research initiative at the interface between science, art and design. Neri is a resident scholar at MIT.
